Enhancing the mission of Ventura College, the Evelyn and Howard Boroughs Library supports student learning and success through our collections, programs, and services.
The Evelyn and Howard Boroughs Library will enhance the curriculum and advance student learning and intellectual exploration by reimagining collections and space, and engaging students and faculty in information literacy and critical thinking. We will provide innovative, responsive library services that meets students where they are.

Currently enrolled Ventura College Students do not need to obtain a library card; they may use their student identification number to access library materials.
Library cards are available to community members residing in Ventura County. Library cards may be activated or renewed with valid picture identification showing Ventura County Residency, not a Post Office Box Address.
The following applies to any circulating book from the Library's collection.

Reserve textbooks are available in the library during our open hours on a first come, first served basis. In the event the library owns multiple copies of a reserve textbook, additional copies may be checked out for two days either in person or via our library lockers.

Currently enrolled Ventura College students may make a reservation for a Group Study Room in person at the library or ahead of time from our website. Reservations can be made for up to 2 hours, twice a day (these can be back-to-back). Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance.
